Abstract

With more communication happening online, cyberbullying has become more common, causing stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, and other mental health problems for employees. The study examined how these experiences affect job satisfaction, commitment to the organization, and intentions to leave. Using case studies, surveys, HR interviews, and examples from different countries including the Blakey v. Continental Airlines case and incidents in Nigeria, the research shows that cyber bullying can come from coworkers, managers, and even students, and that it often goes unreported. The findings highlighted the need for organizations to take action by creating clear anti-cyberbullying policies, providing employee training, offering counseling and support, and monitoring digital communication responsibly. The study therefore, recommended among others, the involvement of organizational managers in promotion of healthy relationship among workers, and better cyber law protections. By following these steps, organizations can create safer workplaces, support employee well-being, and improve overall effectiveness. This paper provides useful guidance for HR professionals, policymakers, and organizational leaders on handling workplace cyberbullying.
